I really appreciate the fun that mister Milton is having with the album, its invigorating at times. It so naturally ties in some insane chill almost introspective and almost catatonic at times instrumentals. The man is fucking good with the instruments, no wonder he is a brazilian master. The only downside is that at times the repetition of motifs esp before the end of the album can get a little repetitive and also the amount of medleys make me get lost in the songs which is a little confusing.

Its rooted in a beautiful culture, but one I dont feel any connection to. Listening feels more like observing from the outside than being drawn in. And because of that there isnt a single track i feel inclined to mention.

Ceea ce apreciez cel mai mult e cat de consistent simt ca este pentru mine acest album, cu toate ca penduleaza constant intre 2 tabere culturale. Prima e super folk si ma duce cu gandul la muzica populara (Minas / Paula E Bebeto - Medley). A doua parte e foarte highbrow si ma duce cu gandul la ceva mai progresiv. Iar melodii precum "Simples" sunt mult mai sobre decat altele precum "Fe Cega, Faca Amolada" si atunci dualitatea e mult mai clara.

I feel like I didn't really get the full experience of the album because I listened to it while freezing outside . Great sound, it gave me a beach in September feeling, while not in the right mindset. I think it would be more impactful to listen to it while chilling in the sun. At times, the album also gave me the feeling of a wedding, that weirdly enough had Portuguese music instead of the usual local one. Loved Gran circo, the weird mix of traditional Brazilian and orchestra-like instruments was amazing. I also feel pretty ignorant on this review, as I didn't catch any lyrics at all, Portuguese is the only latin language I cannot even comprehend.
