Not exceptional, but good. The first half was kind of generic and disappointing, but the second half was great.
In the first half it felt like some songs were going in a moody, vibey direction (HELICOPTER, STAY HERE 4 LIFE, PUNK ROCKY), always leading to pointless songs. The skit didn't really click with me, but I'm saying this in a more neutral way.
The second half was a very nice experience. If the first half was just rocky being a feature on his own album, the second half screams experimental. The run from WHISKEY to FISH N STEAK was amazing, someone cooked there.
Pretty sad it's his first album in 8 years and it's not even close to TESTING. One may experiment and partially fail ig.
Very enjoyable listen ☺️👍
It's borderline ok, really liked the intro, but felt like an edgy move to name the "Starting Over" after having the most promising intro
Feels very generic. Korny, I might say.
I feel like I didn't really get the full experience of the album because I listened to it while freezing outside . Great sound, it gave me a beach in September feeling, while not in the right mindset. I think it would be more impactful to listen to it while chilling in the sun.
At times, the album also gave me the feeling of a wedding, that weirdly enough had Portuguese music instead of the usual local one.
Loved Gran circo, the weird mix of traditional Brazilian and orchestra-like instruments was amazing.
I also feel pretty ignorant on this review, as I didn't catch any lyrics at all, Portuguese is the only latin language I cannot even comprehend.
I fw the vibe. Sounds a lot like The doors, while being a completely random band.
My guys formed the band, dropped the album, disbanded, all in 1969.
Genuinely one of the best albums I've ever listened to
Will listen to Love, as this album was inspired by the band, specifically Forever Changes
It has a pandemic + edgy 2016 vibe. Something you would listen on radio but 50% of it censored (???)
Although not my type of album, gave me a joyful vibe
Kind of chaotic, at some points it feels more like a playlist than an album, but that's more like a side note than a general feeling.
Angelic ending, enjoyed it a lot
avem death grips acasa
dumb fun maybe enjoyable
